Commercial Executive
Romford, Essex
£32000 - £37000 per annum
Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm

My client, a well-established and dynamic business based in Romford, is looking for a confident and professional Commercial Executive to join their team on a permanent basis.
As the Commercial Executive, you will be the focal point for both new and existing clients, responsible for maintaining relationships and identifying areas of opportunity for growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively canvass for new opportunities, expand the customer base by seeking out new markets and locations.
- Managing existing client accounts, drive client satisfaction by building solid relationships, maintaining communication and managing new commercial queries.
- Working closely with Managers to ensure accurate costings of quotations and managing the cooperation between commercial and operational departments.
- Maintaining accurate records of leads and managing CRM system.
- Developing and maintaining up to date costings for a number of different clients.
- Negotiating rates with clients and suppliers.
- Supporting the development of individual revenue streams commercial activities, assure appropriate resources, and adherence to policy, processes, procedures, and reporting requirements across all businesses.
- Identifying weaknesses and risks within the business support improvement, whilst actively seeking to leverage strengths and opportunities.
- Developing new business for existing locations through new services, products and/ or value-added services.
- Assisting with preparation of tenders.
- Managing contract negotiations with clients.
- Support and assist the commercial department, providing cover when required.
- Be willing to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) to existing and development countries as and when necessary.
Required skills:
- Sales or account management experience.
- Willingness to travel and work internationally.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Able to work using own initiative when necessary.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Competent with IT including Microsoft Office.
- CRM experience desirable.
