A well regarded full-service transatlantic law firm are looking to recruit a Commercial Lawyer NQ+ to join their office in Southampton. The firm is highly ranked in the legal directories; Legal 500 and Chambers UK, as well as being ranked Top 100 law firm globally, along with many other awards and accolades.

You will be working with a team of specialist lawyers that are listed as leaders in their field. The team is entrusted with representing a diverse array of clients, including those listed in the FTSE 100 and FTSR 250, public sector entities, educational institutions and industry bodies. You will be advising on complex and high-profile outsourcing transactions, digital transformation projects, international supply contracts, warehousing and logistics contracts, data protection projects, and the application of cutting-edge technologies like generative AI. As a member of the team, you will be actively engaged in all facets of these transactions and projects. This includes providing advice on contract strategies, participating in drafting and negotiation processes, addressing data protection and regulatory concerns, and managing risks.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive;
• Be commercially aware and have an understanding across commercial, tech and data areas. If limited experience, a keen enthusiasm is essential.
• Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills;
• Have genuine enthusiasm for the practice area and the aspiration to deliver a first class service;
• Be able to work well within a team both internally across other teams within the firm and also as an extension to their clients;
• Competent IT skills.
