Warner Goodman LLP, a leading South Coast Firm based in Southampton City Centre seeks an experienced and technically excellent Corporate and Commercial Lawyer to join its growing team with the option of hybrid working. This opportunity will suit someone looking for better work-life balance.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of commercial law experience, gained either in private practice, in-house or ideally a mixture of both. Clients are mainly owner-managed SMEs and so an appreciation of their needs is essential, as is a willingness to delight them with outstanding service. Work will involve drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial documents. The corporate aspect of this role will involve sales, acquisitions, MBOs and restructuring.
As a Corporate and Commercial lawyer, you will be handling a wide range of work, including:
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Joint Ventures
- Share Buybacks
- Demergers
- Reorganisations
- Management Buy-Outs and Buy-Ins
- Shareholders’ agreements
- Supply agreements
- Technology agreements
- Finance and security
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of commercial contracts.
The successful candidate may have held senior positions in the past and be looking for a collegiate culture, where light touch management is the order of the day. Mutual trust and respect are essential to this firm’s ethos. Alternatively, the candidate may have found that they have reached the glass ceiling at their current employer and may wish to explore a move with a view to obtaining partnership.
Ideally the role is full time, but part time applications will be considered. Indeed, a degree of flexibility will be afforded to the right candidate.
