A fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Senior Management Team to form an effective team for managing the successful delivery of the portfolio of works from a governance and commercial aspect. You’ll be leading the Commercial team in maximising the commercial performance of Frameworks and Projects through the implementation of the commercial strategy and targets developed by the Leadership Team/ Project Steering Group and Senior Management Team.

What’s the role:
Control costs and effectively manage budgets, reporting to eh SMT on a monthly basis.
Working with the SMT to develop and set annual business budgets and strategy for development and growth.
Ensure the team complies with all Regulations and Company Policies & Processes
Developing and improving Commercial Policies and Procedures
Manage and support projects on commercial and supplier contracting aspects of projects across the business unit.
Assess and report on commercial aspects of project performance and escalate as appropriate.
Understand the requirements of the Customers and ensure that the Project is managed commercially to satisfy those requirements and in keeping with Customer Focus Strategy
Effectively manage change and operational efficiency, continuously identify areas for business improvement.
Manage relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring Monthly Commercial Reports are completed accurately and timeously.
Aiding with Business Development activities, including assisting with Framework and Bid submission packs.
To ensure that the strategy, policy, culture and standards established by the Senior Management Team are effectively deployed within the commercial team.
What you'll need:
You will have appropriate qualifications, and professional membership of the RICS, CIOB or ICE
A comprehensive working knowledge of NEC3 & 4 contracts, including Options A & C
A working knowledge of IChemE, JCT and MF1 forms of contract
Hold a valid CSCS card EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Training provided)
Ability to drive and influence people to work to dates / programme.
Ability to break complex matters down and communicate concisely and effectively to Senior Management Team (written and verbal)
Exceptional negotiation, leadership and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to influence through others
