To support our continued growth and exciting plans, we’re looking for a Commercial Manager, New Business to join our team and manage New Business performance for our inbound energy customers.
The Energy commercial team are responsible for full P&L performance of Bionics' largest product - sitting at around 90% of revenue. We are often the central point of cross-functional teams, able to operate well with many different colleagues across Sales, Tech, Project Management to name a few. What we deliver is very tangible – you will see the results of your tests/changes usually within a month, providing a great platform for learning and both professional and personal development.

Bionic has a unique customer proposition that mixes our digital journey with agent superpowers to navigate customers through the complexity of the Energy market. This is a highly cross-functional role to identify and activate improvements across the Inbound New Business Journey. This includes driving traffic (marketing, Pay Per Click strategies, partnerships), online journey performance (Product, UX, tech) and sales conversion (sales, tech, commercial). You will be working with almost all areas of sales and business operations, gaining a high level of exposure to the Exec team as you deliver a key part of Bionic’s strategy.
The successful candidate will be experienced and confident working with a wide variety of stakeholders and managing cross-functional teams to deliver change. Overall a highly motivated and determined individual with a desire to contribute significantly to the success of the company. You will have a background in managing journey performance or project management, in either the B2B or B2C space, with quantifiable experience working with sales leadership and tech functions
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Own performance of the Inbound New Business channel
- Co-ordinate between the wide group of New Business stakeholders, managing & communicating the overall New Business roadmap of initiatives
- Regularly review performance across the end-to-end performance funnel, to identify opportunities & react to performance changes
- Implement solutions to improve New Business deal number through developments to our proposition and operational processes.
- Commercial leader for tech initiatives in the New Business space – driving the proposition & making decisions to maximise commercial performance
- Manage a team of 1-2 analysts, collaborating on the plan and execution required to deliver growth
Requirements
You’ll be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage relationships across multiple/senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability of end-to-end project management
- Experience of leading diverse cross-functional teams across sales, tech and commercial
- Strong drive to achieve results, strong-willed, motivating, and cool under pressure.
- The ability to work in fast paced environment, be trusted to drive initiatives autonomously and gain buy in from a wide collection of stakeholders.
- Analytical, keen understanding of performance marketing and business success KPI’s
- Able to review performance, analyse trends and identify root causes using a range of reporting suites (Salesforce, GA and Tableau)
- Experience managing performance of web journeys and sales conversion
