Location: Leicester
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Commercial Manager to join our rapidly growing business.
The Commercial Manager will ensure profitable management of projects and contracts, from inception to completion. You will be excited to take accountability for the growth of Yü Charge, our EV business, creating multiple routes to market in B2B, growing the business to a size where this can be migrated to a fully functioning standalone business.
You will be accountable for all contractual and commercial issues within the Yü Smart business, including specifically control of contracts with energy suppliers for metering rentals.
Develop ways for the company to grow and find new opportunities, to ensure we are maximising our value to the Yü Group of companies.

What We Need from Yü*

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:*
- Initially growing the Yu Charge business to ensure excellent customer service and an effective & proactive solution for B2B customers.
- Reviewing customer journeys to ensure any signs of financial leakage are understood and mitigating plans are implemented.
- Build effective inter-departmental working relationships, be flexible, and a strong team player, as the role will develop over time.
- Ensure adherence to contract obligations.
- Mitigate any KPI penalties through robust operational performance data analysis and reporting.
- Lead / support to the production of budgets and forecasts through identification of risks and opportunities, contract variations, and additional works revenues.
- Negotiation and drafting changes to the contract specification and documentation.
- Act as the key focal point for all commercial issues with the client; achieving successful outcomes to commercial matters whilst engaging in a constructive and collaborative manner with the client to:
- Support Client initiatives and projects.
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes.
- Ensure a clear, mutual understanding of the contractual requirements is established.
- Lead contract negotiation processes with client commercial interfacing operations and client commercial team as required.
- Ensure the timely provision of client commercial reports.
- Conducting risk assessments to ensure that sound commercial decisions are made.
- Review of contract terms and conditions for any new business opportunities and contract variations identifying any key commercial risks and preparing legal summary as part of tender sign-off process.
