Community Resource Workers

Contract: Permanent

Salary: L3 SCP 12 to 24: GBP26,421 to GBP33,024

About the role

We currently have vacancies for Community Resource Workers across the Trust. You will be supporting Social Workers to support families and children who may require temporary or ongoing help. Working directly with families and building relationships and trust with them in a safe, but fun, environment.

This really is hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

Some of the things you will be involved with:

Preparing families for childbirth

Parenting classes

Practical home help

General admin such as opening bank accounts of applying for a passport

About You

You must hold aminimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example: A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)

Experience - minimum of 2 years continuous experience of working with children and young people.

Good Communication skills

A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance, unless a disability prevents this.

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure & Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
