£35k to £45k pending experience and qualification
The Opportunity
We’ve been engaged by an entrepreneurial Owner Director of 3 successful and rapidly growing small businesses to recruit a stand alone Company Accountant to oversee and develop all financial operations and controls.
The Role
Reporting to the Management Team, your key accountabilities will be:
Reporting on financial performance and position including producing full management accounts for each business (£5m t/over combined) budgets, forecasts, cost and revenue data. Providing key stakeholders as well as the MD with key insight into business performance and cash position.
Day to day bookkeeping (Xero)
Handling the banking facilities for the company
Maintenance of Balance sheet reconciliation and processing monthly journals
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Handling the yearly accounts and tax queries
All other ad hoc duties in relation to smooth running of the finance function in the company
The Candidate
Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE, we’re looking for experience in a similar role, stand alone or you might be looking to take a step up in responsibilities (Study support is of consideration). Essentially, you’ll be well versed within the operations of a smaller business, able to produce management accounts and essential data including budgets and forecasts.
You’ll have a positive approach, flexible and adaptable to the needs of a small business.
We’re looking for your keen eye for detail and ability to make a difference and grow with the company. You’ll be system savvy, strong excel capability and experience with Xero would be advantageous.
