Financial Accountant
Manpower are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our clients team who is global supplier for technologically advanced products within the defence and aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly VAT returns.
  • Complete high-quality monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations by specified deadlines.
  • Compile information for regular and ad hoc National Statistics surveys.
  • Collaborate with budget holders to gather timely and relevant data.
  • Oversee the fixed asset process, including liaising with requestors, FP&A leads, and Central Fixed Asset teams.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained and documented in the eCAR approval system.
  • Manage Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) balances effectively.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of journals.
  • Familiarity with JDE systems is preferable but not essential.
  • Support process documentation, monitoring, and compliance activities within the internal control environment.
  • Work with apprentices to enhance their skills and experience.
  • Provide guidance on additional tasks as required.
  • Support the reconciliation of inter company accounts.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Proven experience in finance roles, particularly in VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset management. Working at a complex multi-site business.
• Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with JDE systems is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Education: Relevant financial qualifications or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Fully on-site at our Leighton Buzzard location.
• Hours: Flexible 39 hours per week.

Core Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
