Financial Accountant

Macildowie are seeking an experienced Finance Interim to join the Finance team of a renowned FMCG company based in Bedfordshire. This person needs to be detail-oriented and analytical to support through a busy period of year-end and Audit, initially for a 3 month period.

What you'll do:

• Preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with external audit processes, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, making enquiries into differences and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of management information packs, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
• Conducting general ledger review to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist with the production of accurate and timely month-end accounts, month close processes and reporting in line with group policies.
• Support compliance of all functions and processes with Global Control Standards (GCS), policies & procedures, and assist team in preparation of Corporate and Statutory Audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide ad-hoc analysis as required.

What you'll need:

• Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred; or demonstrably qualified by experience (QBE)
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; TM1 / Cognos / Oracle 11 knowledge is highly advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
