Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

I’m a 25-year-old female, I am transgender, and at the beginning of my journey, and learning more about my likes and dislikes as a female every day. Enabling my identity journey is very important to me.

Currently, I am supported in the hospital until my new home is ready. (I’m hoping this is soon!). My home will be a completely refurbished bungalow, with large grounds, personalized adaptations, space for my parents to visit, and a separate staff area for you guys to enjoy. this will all be supported by technology-enabled care!

It is important to know about me, I am Chinese, and I speak both English and Mandarin, so it would be great if you were keen to learn about new cultures.

I really love being active, horse riding, heading out for a stroll along the beach, and walking around in nature. I genuinely just love walking. Do you? Is this the first thing we have in common? Let’s be super active together!

Did I mention that I have Autism? No? Well, that’s because my condition doesn’t define me, it just makes me the individual I am – but I would need you to have had some good prior experience of supporting people a bit like me so that you can understand me a little better. It’ll just make things a little easier for both of us.

I’m looking for a brand-new team of advanced support workers to be able to support me live my best life possible.

I am extremely close with my parents and have a brilliant relationship with them, something which you will be able to see if you are successful in joining my new team!
