We are currently seeking an experienced compliance professional to join our clients team on a Part time basis with great flexibility. As the Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies within our growing business. With a strong technical background in FCA, CMA, ASA, or other regulatory requirements related to Financial services / products, you will provide timely advice and guidance on commercial insurance and financing topics. Working closely with our Managing Directors and teams, you will develop and maintain compliance monitoring plans, conduct investigations, and update policies to meet the evolving regulatory landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but agile team, working across multiple locations and contributing to the success of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the compliance monitoring plan, ensuring timely delivery of monitoring activities
- Conduct investigations and report on regulatory risk and compliance standards
- Assist with compliance queries from the team, including complaints management and file checks
- Update commercial mortgage operations procedures and address audit findings
- Research and ensure compliance with commercial mortgage and commercial insurance regulations
- Proactively identify necessary process and operational changes to maintain regulatory compliance
- Provide training on regulatory and compliance matters to increase awareness and adherence
- Generate accurate management information for reporting and trend analysis
- Design and implement compliance-related policies and procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and notifications
- Validate fitness and propriety of individuals authorised by the FCA
Skills and Experience:
- * Strong technical background in FCA, CMA, ASA, and other regulatory requirements for consumer credit and mortgage products
- Understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR)
- Experience in a lender, credit broker, or mortgage intermediary, preferably in a digital environment
- Ability to develop comprehensive compliance training and induction programs
- Proven success in building relationships and effective communication at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced organisation
- Practical and pragmatic problem-solving approach that balances commercial and regulatory objectives
- Good understanding of insurance and financial services intermediaries role and responsibilities
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements for insurance and commercial financing products
- Understanding of customer risks in purchasing insurance and financing products and how to mitigate them
- Strong commitment to customer-centric decision-making and ethical business practices
The role of Compliance Manager is offered with a pro-rata salary between £45K - £70K on a hybrid and flexible basis, from Milton Keynes
