Construction Estimator - Residential

Job Title: Estimator.

Office Location: Manchester.

Salary: Up to £55K.

Site Locations: Nationwide.

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately pricing construction projects and creating comprehensive cost estimates.

Main responsibilities:

- Review project plans, specifications, drawings and other documentation to fully understand project scope and requirements

- Conduct in-depth quantity take-offs for all materials, equipment and labor required

- Source pricing for materials, subcontractor services and other variable costs

- Build detailed cost models and estimates using estimating software

- Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce project costs when possible

- Submit final estimate with supporting documentation to management for review

- Make adjustments to estimates when scope changes or new information is obtained

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a construction estimating role

- Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP plans and specifications

- Excellent math skills and attention to detail

- Advanced knowledge of Excel and estimating software

- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

- Ability to multitask and manage multiple estimates simultaneously

- Effective communication and collaboration skills

Ideally you will have at least 2-5 years of direct estimating experience. However, motivated trainees will also be considered.
