We are excited to partner with London Fire Brigade, who are seeking a Construction Project Manager - Client Side, to join our Corporate Services team. This role is pivotal in delivering construction workstreams for our New HQ project, ensuring they are customer-focused, on time, within budget, and carried out in accordance with agreed standards and policies.
- Annual Salary: £52,242 to £67,836 per annum plus benefits,
- Location: hybrid / Southwark

- 2 Years Fixed Term - employed directly by London Fire Brigade
Day to Day of the role:
- Project manage suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver building projects as part of a wider team.
- Oversee refurbishment, extension, and new build project activity, including operational fire station buildings.
- Manage and set project briefs in consultation with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the LFC’s Standard Station Design Brief.
- Oversee the appointment and management of consultant teams and building contractors.
- Set up and manage internal governance and reporting structures.
- Work closely with various departments within LFB to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare business plans, reports, budgets, and programmes to deliver projects across the estate.
- Ensure all projects comply with LFB objectives, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Obtain necessary statutory consents for project works in conjunction with the consultant project team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in project managing property-related projects, including contract management of consultants and contractors.
- Formal qualification in a nationally recognised property and/or project management discipline (e.g., RICS, RIBA, Prince2, APM) or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT), NEC suites of contract, or similar contracts.
- Experience in appointing and managing consultants and building contractors via competitive tender or framework.
- Proficiency in reviewing design drawings, project programmes, specifications, and tender/contract documents.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, equality issues, and contractual procedures.
