An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS – PICU to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services
**To be considered for this position you must hold an MBBS or equivalent medical degree and MRCPsych + Full GMC registration with license to practice**
As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:
- Working as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician as part of the MDT
- Take overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
- Timely assessment of referrals along with the MDT
- Conducting Comprehensive Assessments and treatment planning with patients, external stake holders and carers
- Chairing MDT/CPA Meetings; Adhering to organisational admission and discharge policy and procedures
- Timely discharge GP notifications and discharge summaries
- To contribute to the unit governance through expertise and leadership
- Prepare and supervise reports for Mental Health Act Review Tribunals & Managers Hearings alongside giving evidence within these meetings
- Participate in a second on 1:3 on call rota
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Registered on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR along with valid AC Status
- Experienced & knowledgeable in CAMHS
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- Committed to continued professional development
- Able to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £180,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
