Job Description
-This role will develop a variety of engaging content for use across our internal and external channels.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage a rolling editorial calendar for Group content, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with function and BU campaigns
- Write powerful stories that inspire and motivate colleagues and reinforce messaging in engaging and concise ways
- Support the delivery of financial results communications, providing content for senior leaders
- Collaborate with functions, businesses and the internal communications teams to understand objectives and requirements, and deliver content that effectively communicates the intended message and tells the stories from within our businesses.
- Support the Group wide content strategy, plan and channels to ensure successful implementation of groupwide programmes
- Conduct interviews for all delivery forms, ensuring rounded content for news, blogs, podcasts, soundbites, and other communication and engagement formats
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop engaging multimedia content for use across our internal and external channels.
- Experiment with new and creative storytelling approaches to drive readership and engagement
- Bring business as usual communication to life to get cut through and help our corporate messages land with colleagues
Qualifications
-Specific Knowledge requirements:
- Experience of writing content in corporate/ global companies – experience in mining, energy, manufacturing companies desirable
- Experience of working collaboratively across teams and locations
- Experience of working with external agencies
Technical Skills:
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills, including writing and visualising powerful stories to inspire and motivate in engaging and crisp concise ways
- Creative thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to transform complex concepts into engaging visual content.
- A good understanding of visual design and video production
- Stakeholder management: able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels and in different geographies and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Internal brand ambassador: championing the revised brand internally and being conscious of how our actions drive towards our common brand promise trends
