Credit Controller - Hybrid

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Collecting payments from our customers in a timely and professional manner, using a hands-on telephone approach.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Managing the credit risk of our customer portfolio, evaluating new credit requests and liaising with the Finance Manager for approval.
- Setting up new customers on our systems, ensuring they are linked and updated.
- Resolving customer enquiries, queries, and disputes, providing copy statements and invoices as needed.
- Allocating large remittances and requesting remittances from cash held on account.
- Sending out customer statements at month end and monitoring the sales ledger for any issues.
- Working closely with the operations team to advise on the status of accounts and prevent any delays in service delivery.
- Using a variety of software packages, including Sage 200, and demonstrating strong excel skills.
- Paying attention to detail and taking a pro-active approach to your work.
- Performing ad hoc duties as and when required by the Finance Manager.
- Learning and growing with the industry and the company.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous experience in credit control or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- A positive and customer-focused attitude, with the ability to handle difficult situations.
- A good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- A high level of accuracy and efficiency in your work.
- A desire to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
