Full-time Position in Felixstowe / Office based
£22,000-£26,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
Are you proactive and detail-oriented with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? We're looking for an Entry level Credit Controller to become an integral part of a warm and friendly finance team in Felixstowe!
Your Role:
- Engage directly with customers through hands-on telephone approach to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
- Actively chase cash term customers and invoices without credit terms to prevent delays in operations.
- Handle customer enquiries, provide copy statements, resolve queries, and issue copy invoices with efficiency.
- Evaluate new credit requests and set up new customers in our accounting systems with precision.
- Allocate large remittances and manage cash held on account with diligence.
- Send out customer statements at month end and monitor the sales ledger for potential issues.
- Escalate concerns to the Finance Manager when necessary and maintain a proactive approach in all tasks.
Ideally you will have.....
- Strong interest in credit control.
- The ability to identify and address queries effectively.
- A process-driven mindset with ideas for working more efficiently.
- Proficiency in software packages and strong Excel skills
- Experience with Sage 200 (advantageous, but not essential).
