As a Finance and Credit Control Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the Credit Control process, ensuring accurate records, and ensuring their clients are up to date with their payments. You will be someone who loves investigating and resolving things as well as building rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

As the Credit Controller you will be responsible for:
- Daily Bank Receipts:
- Post daily bank receipts promptly.
- Allocate payments accurately, following up on any missing remittances.
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Cash Reconciliation:
- Reduce unapplied cash by diligently reconciling accounts.
- Customer Statements:
- Generate and send customer statements as required.
- Ensure clarity and accuracy in communication.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Reconcile statements with customers.
- Provide support to Credit Controllers in debt collection efforts via phone and email, adhering to our credit policy.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
- Foster a collaborative environment.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting:
- Prepare other ad-hoc reports as requested by the finance team.
- Educational Background:
- Educated to GCSE / A’ Level standard.
- Experience:
- Credit control or sales ledger experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with a confident telephone manner.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Analytical Mindset:
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Organisational Skills:
- Effective organisational and planning abilities.
- Tech-Savvy:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Adaptability:
- Willingness to embrace change and contribute to process improvements.

- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively.
