We are looking for a Customer Business Manager to join our dynamic and highly successful team. Working with a team of skilled professionals, you'll be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives within the overall Tesco Group portfolio and Convenience channel. This will be a strategic sales role, identifying short and longer-term opportunities for growth.
You will be instrumental in delivering budget numbers through effective account planning. Your role is to lead the development and implementation of channel-specific solutions and manage risks effectively.
A team player with excellent planning, organising and time management skills are essential for success in this role. Critical thinking and judgement will be key qualities required for managing Premier's cake portfolio in 3 of Tesco Group's fascia’s. You will be providing first-class customer service and influence stakeholders effectively. This role would really suit somebody who is agile, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working cross functionally at all levels.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be a strategic thinker with excellent commercial awareness. This role requires an individual who is skilled in negotiation, able to identify white space opportunities for growth, and champion fresh ideas within the business. The Key Requirements...
- Full P&L responsibility to deliver budget
- Supplier planning focused on driving growth through joint plans and excellent execution
- Deliver performance review’s both internally and externally – with focus on risk mitigation and opportunity identification plus delivery
- Negotiate and agree a joint business plan/promotional plan (range and promotions) with the customers, delivering on both internal and external objectives. Maintain and update annual account plans to deliver corporate objectives.
- Negotiate and deliver promotional programmes, ensuring promotions are communicated, forecasted, delivered and then evaluated in a timely manner
- Drive the accuracy and delivery of monthly sales forecasts and measure financials to plan – working with supply chain, factory forecasting and finance
- Work closely with Marketing and Category functions to close distribution gaps, identify and win new business and deliver New Product Launch plans where relevant (distribution, display, turnover targets)
- Work closely with Commercial Planning function to implement agreed pricing and promotion structure.
As a Customer Business Manager, you are skilled in Commercial Awareness and Fact-Based Selling, with a focus on Builds Winning Relationships. You should be proficient in Negotiation, possess Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be a Team Player comfortable working at all levels.
