SalaryWe are Looking for a Dairy Planning manager to join our team in Yeo Valley, You will be expected to deliver a key operational leadership role in the Planning Team. You will use your expertise and leadership skills to lead and develop a team of dedicated experts.
Leading the Dairy Raw Materials team, you are responsible for ensuring the optimized delivery and cost-effective utilization of a £150m portfolio of dairy and base raw materials across all our manufacturing operations.
Your key role in enabling our commitment to Nature Positive farming through the operational delivery of our dedicated milk pools will be a significant contributor to Impacts strategy.
You will optimize our investment in new technologies through the most effective use of our dairy supply contracts and materials utilisation at our operational sites.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Dairy Raw Materials team, to ensure a strong resource of dedicated, skilled experts.
- Deliver proactive collaborative relationships with our dairy raw materials suppliers and our manufacturing operations to ensure the most effective flow and utilization of all our Dairy raw materials.
- Through effective planning ensure sufficient dairy and base raw materials are available to meet our operational requirements, whilst minimising risk of obsolescence.
- Enable the delivery of Yeo Valleys ambitious nature positive farming programme through optimised use of our dedicated milk pools, supporting our Impacts strategy
- In collaboration with the site Process teams, optimise new technologies to ensure we have the most cost-effective use of all dairy materials (Optimity, Recipe Optimisation, Dynamic Recipes)
- Drive the reduction in waste of dairy materials through effective collaboration with our manufacturing teams.
- Undertake scenario planning of dairy materials to support new business initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Provide a key advisory role to support Procurement strategy and the delivery of complex dairy supply agreements.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement to optimise dairy material utilisation and handling.
- effective administration of goods receipt and invoice processes.
- Provide support and cover for the Dairy Raw Materials team
