Data Governance Manager

The Role

We are looking for a Data Governance Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining strict principles, standards, policies, and procedures that ensure the availability, accuracy, reliability, consistency, and security of all company data stored in all systems.

The principles will dictate how the business will obtain, store, process, and dispose of the data.

The Data Governance Manager will interpret the principles to meet the needs of the business and create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and document library. They will define the operational and regulatory risks that must be managed and ensure and enforce adherence to the

policies created.

The Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strict principles, standards, policies, and procedures that ensure the availability, accuracy, reliability, consistency, and security of all company data stored in all systems.
• Interpret the principles to meet the needs of the business.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and document library.
• Define the operational and regulatory risks that must be managed.
• Ensure and enforce adherence to the policies created.

The Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Governance Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance principles, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Minimum 2 years experience of Microsoft Purview and Azure Purview
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to represent the business in meetings and presentations nationally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in developing and maintaining a comprehensive data dictionary and document library.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to travel to Mumbai.
