£40,000 - £45,000 + 10% bonus

If you’re a Data Scientist in the lending/credit risk space from a financial services background this could be a great opportunity!

This global financial services company are looking to hire another Data Scientist into their Risk Analytics team, reporting into the Data Science Manager. You’ll be working with their biggest client, working with huge amounts of data so it’s a really good opportunity to excel from a technical perspective but you’d also be working with stakeholders across the business meaning you’ll improve your soft skills too.

THE ROLE

As the Data Scientist for the business you will:

• Work with Risk Analysts to understand customers and their risk
• Build machine learning models using Python to understand validation, credit scoring and to optimise pricing
• Liaise with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and explain how Data Science can add value to the business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong academic background to Degree level in a numerical subject
• Commercial experience in Data Science ideally in a credit / lending background
• Excellent coding skills using Python
• Experience building machine learning models
• Tech: Python, SQL

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Basic salary £40,000 – £45,000
• Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office in the West Midlands
• Bonus up to 10%
• Benefits package including matched pension up to 6% and private medical cover for the family
