About the Team
What You'll Do?
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that efficiently collect, process, and transform data from various sources into BigQuery.
- Table and View Management: Create and manage tables and views in BigQuery to ensure data is structured, accessible, and optimized for analysis.
- Performance Optimization: Collaborate with the performance technology team to optimize data pipelines and processes for maximum speed and efficiency.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Machine Learning Integration: Leverage your knowledge of machine learning to integrate predictive analytics and AI capabilities into data pipelines and processes.
- Documentation - create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, tables, and views.
- Troubleshooting - identify and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.
- As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.
What You'll Need?
- Several years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
- Proven track record in data engineering, with a focus on designing and optimizing data pipelines.
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
- Experience with data modelling and database design.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Knowledge of machine learning and its application in data pipelines (advantageous)
