My client is a well-established financial services membership organisation, based in Central London, who is currently recruiting for a Senior Sales and Marketing Executive with strong account management skills as well as previous experience of sales and business development in a Financial Services Membership Organisation.

The Role:

The Senior Sales and Marketing Executive will be responsible for co-ordinating Delegate Sales including origination, sales, management and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute a Delegate Sales strategy for commercial events, to meet and exceed financial and attendee ratio targets.
  • Develop and manage a list of prospective targets for Delegate Sales
  • Manage a sales e-mail strategy, including copywriting and list management, working in close partnership with the membership and marketing teams
  • Prospecting using the CRM system, external data sources and desk research
  • Generate sales through cold-calls and face-to-face meetings/presentations
  • Manage bookings and all administration relating to them
  • Ownership of maintenance of all Delegate Sales documentation eg master spreadsheet and pipelines
  • Email outreach via Dotdigital
  • Engage and develop relationships with both members and non-members of the organisation,
  • Understand the interest of the different member types and address their needs by matching it with the suite of events
  • Analyse sales trends, delegate feedback and market trends and provide regular reports to colleagues and senior management
  • Build and support sponsor relationships and event deliverables
  • To provide support and assistance to sponsorship lead generation and sales, including researching and managing lists of prospective targets, attending meetings where appropriate and ensuring accurate and timely administration
  • Contribute ideas to maximise commercial opportunities for event sponsorship. Develop financial modelling skills to be able to map out different scenarios

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Key Account management experience
  • Financial services experience is essential
  • 3-5 years Business to Business sales experience is preferable
  • Private capital knowledge is an advantage. Experience of working with firms within the industry, or with other large financial or professional services firms would be beneficial
  • Must have an interest in the Private Capital industry
  • A proven sales, business development or commercial relationship management track record is essential;
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently present ideas and concepts to a broad set of audiences
  • Demonstrate an organised, methodical and accurate approach to work and ability to focus on priorities
  • Strong internal and external relationship building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and a track record of success through managing customer relationships
  • A positive "can-do" attitude;
