At NPL, we're seeking for a Senior Delivery Manager with a passion for experimental physics to join our Optical Frequency Metrology Group, within our world-leading Time & Frequency Department.
In this hybrid role you will spend approx. 2 – 3 days per week on site in Teddington, and 2 – 3 days working remotely. As Senior Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a portfolio of projects to time, cost, and quality in a safe manner. You’ll take a holistic view of our products and services to ensure we’re maximising every opportunity to deliver exceptional service to our customers. You’ll enjoy partnering with business leadership to deliver investment and resourcing plans that align with long-term growth strategy.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Building new revenue streams by working closely with a team of expert Scientists, Product Managers and Commercial teams
- Managing a portfolio of projects, delivering to NPL’s customers to a very high standard of quality and service
- Providing operational leadership to a group/team, ensuring they are motivated and clear on objectives with the tools required to achieve them
- Identifying and monitoring key performance indicators for the team, taking proactive action when performance is deviating from expectations
- Proactively planning to ensure that appropriate resources (inclusive of staff and facilities) are in place for current and future project delivery, working with suppliers to secure required materials ahead of time
