Job description -

We are looking for a driven, autonomous and experienced Delivery Manager, reporting to the Delivery Director. This role is a senior role leading the delivery of contracted professional services within the technology space to our customers. In terms of technology delivery, it’s a hands-off role, but to be successful in this role the Delivery Manager must stay close to our customers and our teams and have clear oversight and understanding of what they are delivering.

This role requires the successful candidate to possess the rare mix of project delivery, people management and stakeholder management all within a technology landscape. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technology & delivery background who thrives on client engagement and people management.

Principal duties and responsibilities

Delivery Management

· Delivery of the contracted service: requirements, SOW tracking, governance, benefit realisation, KPIs & reporting, resource planning / demand management, risk management

· Key stakeholder management, account reviews and account performance assessments

· Support the business development team with new business opportunities, business cases and contract renewal process.

Team Management

· Lead / support the hiring process as required.

· Line management of your deployed RedRock team including performance management

· Support the overall financial reporting, timesheet and invoice approval process.

· Escalation and incident management.

Strategic

· Identify growth opportunities within existing customers and work with BD teams to explore.

· Support sales activities such as proposal / case study production.

· Support the Delivery Director with internal continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Must Have Experience

· Minimum 6 years professional experience

· Minimum 3 years experience working in a consultancy or digital agency organisation

· Demonstrable experience of working in a highly visible customer facing role.

· An IT delivery background (not limited to tech roles – i.e. IT project management).

· Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across many levels in an organisation.

· Has led or has been involved in the hiring process.

· Awareness of commercials and contracts.

· Experience in content writing for bids/tenders/RFPs

· Has managed people in an IT environment, ideally both permanent and contract.

· Familiar with managing risks and resolving incidents with customers.

· Experience of building MI / Reporting for customers.

Desirable Experience

· Previous experience of working across a broad range of business sectors covering both the public and private sectors.

· Experience delivering to UK government Digital & Data departments including familiarity with GDS Service Standards and delivery lifecycles.

Location

Primary Location: RedRock HQ, Clifton, Bristol

Secondary Location(s): Customer site / Work from home

Travel Requirement: UK only (predominantly London / Southwest) – maximum 30%

This role will be given a level of autonomy to make the decision of where the best place is to operate from on a given day in the interest of getting the job done. This could be in the RedRock office, at a customer site, at home or elsewhere.

That said, we are a small business and our culture thrives when our people are together, so we’d love for you to be in the RedRock office (Bristol) with the team as much as practical. For this reason, we’d prefer someone located in Bristol or surrounding areas to allow this to be achievable without barriers.
