Salary £57,000-£62,000 per annum

London/hybrid (5+ days per month in the office, mandatory on Thursdays)

 About the role

  • You'll be supporting our squads in making sure we deliver value to our half-million members, and help make life simpler, fairer and safer for consumers. You'll be using all your experience as a delivery manager to achieve great outcomes - typically helping 1-2 of them hands-on, but always coaching towards increased self-sufficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery management support for squads - working with product trios to facilitate a range of planning and delivery activities to build high-performing teams
  • Coaching squads and team members to be high-performing and able to run ceremonies and processes themselves
  • Developing longer-term plans for the delivery of key outcomes and improving the capabilities of our squads
  • Ensuring our teams get all the benefits of Agile working practices, but are still able to give confidence to stakeholders about the value they are delivering
  • Reporting on, and developing strategies to improve, our delivery metrics

About you:

  • You'll be an experienced Agile delivery manager, who has worked across a range of different products, phases and team types, and who has built several resilient high-performing teams.
  • You'll be curious and collaborative, wanting to learn more about your craft and about how to help our teams work together on big long-term outcomes
  • You'll use data to inform decisions - everything from analytics to financial information to delivery-specific metrics (DORA, velocity, cycle time, OKR confidence), and help encourage this mindset more widely
  • You'll be a first-class facilitator, a respected supporter of the teams you work with who helps them communicate with each other more effectively
  • You'll have first-hand experience working with all the roles on a multidisciplinary team, but also know how to work with outside stakeholders, including suppliers, where necessary
  • You'll have the skills to help teams directly in all sorts of areas, but you'll get most satisfaction when the team have learned to do things for themselves
  • You'll have great interpersonal skills, that you use to help teams tell the best stories to stakeholders, and also to help unblock teams in sustainable ways that improve our organisation overall.

We also have these benefits for you to consider:

  • 35 hour working week
  • Generous 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays
  • Award winning pension scheme – when you pay in 3%, Which? pays in 6% (rising to 11% after one year of service.)
  • Discount site Sodexo which offers large % off every day shopping
  • Annual Bonus (depending on employee and company performance)
  • Healthcare insurance & Private medical insurance and opportunity to participate in Vitality rewards programme (at 6 months)
  • A discretionary death in service benefit provision equivalent to six times your annual salary
  • Free access to Which? member content and free access to Which? money and legal helplines
  • “Work from (almost) anywhere” for 4 weeks of the year policy

Our interview process usually involves 3 stages:

  • Sometimes an introductory chat with a recruiter or hiring manager by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
  • An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-60 minutes) consisting of experience-based competency questions.
  • A separate scenario-based exercise or interview task (30-45 minutes) for successful candidates - based on the sort of work you would typically doing. We will normally send you the brief for this 2-3 days in advance, along with our top-level questions. We will ask you to talk us through your approach, and ask further about your skills and how you'd apply them in the scenario.
