The Museum of Natural History is renowned as a venue for exciting and diverse events. The management and delivery of over 160 internally- and externally-hosted events per year is a significant activity which bears directly upon the public reputation of the Museum as well as providing an essential source of revenue to support core activities. We are recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced Deputy Events Manager to work closely with clients, the Events Manager and the events delivery team, on the planning and execution of a wide variety of events. The Deputy Events Manager will work on corporate, internal, and social events, conferences, weddings, and events for other University departments, art associations and charities, as well as supporting the development and logistics of in-house public engagement events. The role requires a flexible approach to working hours, with regular evening and weekend work. This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36.5 hours per week. About You You will have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate experience of leading a team to ensure the smooth running of event operations at a similarly high-end venue. You will be committed to working collaboratively and supportively with colleagues and stakeholders in a changing context and be able to remain calm throughout. You will have good oral and written communications skills, with the ability to pass on clear and accurate information.
