IT IS ESSSENTIAL THAT YOU MUST DRIVE FOR THIS ROLE
Please be aware that your primary work location will be in the office on weekdays, and weekend availability is essential. Weekend events are typically centred in and around London, Greater London, and Surrey, with a maximum travel time of 3 hours. To compensate for weekend work, you will be granted a day off during the week when scheduled for weekend duty.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Operational Event Management experience within a conference and events venue/high-end event caterer
- A genuine passion for food, drinks, people, and a desire to deliver faultless events
- You must be an efficient, detail oriented and highly productive individual with a proactive and flexible approach as well as a 'can-do', enthusiastic attitude
- Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Excellent organisation skills
- Being bi-lingual or having some basic knowledge of either Hindi or Punjabi is desirable
What will your role look like?
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs and deliver the perfect event
- Planning for Indian and multicultural Weddings both large and small
- Managing events including weekends
- Hosting venue site visits and show-rounds
- Taking telephone and email enquiries
- Sending out bespoke proposals to prospective clients
- Meeting clients for face-to-face consultations
- Arranging and hosting food tastings for clients
- Being responsible for the day-to-day planning and running of events.
- Liaising with our team of chefs, logistics team, and admin staff to ensure smooth planning of events
- Liaising with venues in the lead-up to the day itself in the most professional manner at all times
- On the day event management – taking full responsibility for the event from the set-up to breaking down
- Liaising with clients and event guests to ensure that you and your team deliver exceptional food and beverage service on the day
- Maintain a strong relationship with clients during the initial enquiry, coordination and planning right through to the execution of services on the day
