An exciting and rare opportunity has become available with a prestigious education institute based in central Oxford.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure events, and conferences, working closely with the Event s Co-Ordinator to ensure a smooth delivery of each function.
This is a hands-on role, which will involve managing staff with training and service delivery alongside providing support in tasks such as restocking, ordering, and inventory.
Fully office based, you will be working between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to attend key events in the evenings and at the weekends.
This is an ongoing temporary role but may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Events Manager Responsibilities
- Managing each event from point of enquiry to invoice
- Actively promote the use of the venue to increase commercial revenue
- Manage the events calendar and ensure effective planning, communication and costing
- Manage staff recruitment, rota s and training to ensure compliance throughout
- Maintain inventory of stock, including stock rotation, deliveries and stock management

Temporary Events Manager Requirements
To be successful in this role you must have proven experience of delivering high profile events, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.
A self-starter you will have a keen eye for detail with high-level organisational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple event priorities within a timely manner.
Event budget management skills are vital to the success of this role; therefore, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you can prepare and work towards budgets, completing any administration where necessary.
