Business Development Manager – B2B Events
Hybrid Oxford Office
£32-40000 + Uncapped OTE - £50-60,000+
Objectives…
· Personal responsibility for selling sponsorship across 3-4 products a year
· Leading with a consultative sales approach to highlight key opportunities to solution provider companies worldwide, helping with their marketing, brand exposure and business enhancing goals
· Grow and develop new business opportunities & maximise account development
· Aiding Portfolio Director in creating event dashboards, inventory strategy plans and exhibition floorplan management
· Train, mentor and manage staff working on your products
· Ensuring each sponsorship sales member hits their revenue target for event campaign
· Handle objections and negotiate and close deals with new and existing clients
· Write proposals and persuasive invitations
· On-site event management at in-person events– Oversee ‘sponsor experience’ at events, assisting clients in the exhibition area, collecting feedback, supporting the event manager in all aspects of the event (international travel is required).
We are looking for someone with:
· A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a B2B sales role
· Strong time management skills and ability to manage own & team revenue targets
· Precise reporting skills and administrative work to be completed to a high standard
· Proficiency in new business/lead generation and account management
· Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and the energy and drive to achieve sales targets
· Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
· Experience of managing a pipeline and using CRM tools
· Confidence and an autonomous approach to their work
· A willingness to learn and contribute to the success of a team
