Digital Catapult is looking for a Desktop Support Administrator to build on the existing IT team. The candidate will quickly become the internal face of internal IT and will be pivotal in supporting the companies’ team members. The Catapult works with many different technologies to which the successful candidate will get exposure, including Augmented / Virtual Reality, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain and Future Networks.
The day-to-day work will include helping staff members and visitors to our offices with all IT related issues. The candidate that stands out will be full of ideas about refining our operation allowing us to become a high performing IT team. This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation and gain experience supporting the entire technical stack. You are expected to be in the London office at least 3 days per week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
- Provide friendly and proactive 1st & 2nd line IT service and support to internal staff, visitors and partners.
- Administer a fleet of devices ensuring that we are compliant with company policies.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, processes and procedures.
- Integrate with larger teams to ensure that IT policies are adhered to and escalate where issues were needed.
- General day to day administration tasks including maintenance of monitoring backup and security systems, deployment of updates and auditing systems in a proactive maintenance role.
Requirements
- As this role is the first line of contact with IT for staff, we are looking for someone with a high level of customer service.
- Excellent knowledge of endpoint devices: Windows, macOS and IOS
- Someone who has a passion for technology and automation.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and build relationships and work with users in a professional, confident and friendly manner.
- Open to learning new ways of working and integrate with an established multi-discipline team.
