About the Role We are seeking a Digital Development Librarian to join our Library Innovation and Planning Team. It is intended that the post holder will spend most their time focusing on our digital offering and working across teams to ensure we have a roadmap for improvements and projects to upgrade our offering and be future ready. The team is responsible for supporting the cross-service working groups and Library teams with the prioritisation, planning, financial management, workforce management and operational implementation of a diverse range of projects and service improvements related to the digital and physical infrastructures supporting Library Services. About You You will have experience of working with specialist systems, evaluating their functionality and identifying areas for improvement. You will have previously developed specialist systems and trained colleagues to feel confident and well versed in using them. This includes, but is not limited to a range of digital platforms/software for holding and/or making available physical and digital library assets such as the Library Services Platform (LSP), collections and e-resources management platforms, and digital asset preservation systems You will possess analytical skills alongside excellent interpersonal skills, such as negotiation, influencing and liaison. About the Department Library Services is a major part of the Student Experience Directorate, with libraries and study spaces located at three of Queen Mary’s campuses, responsibility for the university archives, and with a strong online presence.
