Job description

Are you passionate about deciphering the intricacies of Digital Products, generating insight, and creating usable web interfaces? Do you have a great command of a range of design tools including Figma? If you are, then we're recruiting for two Digital Product Analysts on 12-month fixed term contracts to support our exciting ecommerce project.
As a Digital Product Designer, you will be supporting our UX and Product Designers in delivering improvements to our B2B Digital Products which are used by some of the UK’s best-known brands. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be crafting user stories and related documentation and playing a key role in delivering our ambitious product roadmap. You will also work closely with our development team to understand, define, and exploit potential opportunities in delivering new features.
This role is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote working, and office-based days (2 or 3 days a week) from our head office in Hull.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and articulating opportunities for ongoing improvements to the online customer experience
  • Using and developing our design system and creating production ready design assets
  • Leading on requirements and documentation best practices
  • Undertaking user research and furthering user knowledge
  • Becoming the team expert on the product functionality, data flow and the user experiences they drive
  • Rapidly understanding complex Digital Products at a data and user flow level and confidently highlighting opportunities and constraints in the context of our product roadmap
  • Preparing structured user stories and acceptance criteria for refinement with our digital team
  • Taking part in refinement sessions and leading on refinement and change during project delivery
  • Working with external software vendors to effectively describe our high-level requirements and articulating them  with detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Organising and verifying the validity of user acceptance testing, bug fixing and performance testing
  • Working closely with Product Managers to verify training and launch materials for new features
  • Playing a key role in documenting our Digital Products for future training and change

The ideal Digital Product Analyst will be/have:
  • Experienced in optimising Digital Products such as websites, portals and apps
  • Able to demonstrate a portfolio of digital design projects
  • Experience of designing for applications
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to rapidly understand complex Digital Products at a data and user flow level and become confident in explaining their relationship to the customer experience it drives
  • Experience of working in a design led agile product development process working with development and design teams to drive the implementation of digital experiences
  • A love of design combined with an appreciation of detailed product features that vary over a diverse range of use cases
  • Drive and persistence to innovate within our complex scaled up eCommerce environment and able to rapidly learn the wide range of features and dependencies that make up our online offering
  • Ability to prioritise features and user stories to ensure our roadmap remains on track
  • Able to demonstrate creative authority and command of details, you will be comfortable promoting the business benefits of your ideas to senior stakeholders
  • A great team player, able to demonstrate experience of working with others in diverse environments solving tough business problems with smart UX solutions
