Applegreen is the majority shareholder of Welcome Break. We are working together to find a new Director of Technology for the Applegreen business. This is a Group IT level role looking after our businesses across all the geographical Applegreen regions.
The focus of this role will be to build a strategic roadmap with the business; bringing in new technologies and further enhancing the current platforms to drive better engagement with our customers and colleagues, ultimately making their journey and interaction with us clearer, simpler and faster
What will your role look like?
You will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and managing the organisation’s customer-facing omnichannel digital strategy. Aligning at a Group level and then localising at a regional level.
- Leading digital transformation initiatives by integrating existing technologies, developing new digital solutions and using data analytics to drive insights
- Assessing the company business models and processes for digital opportunities to reduce costs, drive revenue, improve customer experience and increase operational efficiency
- Develop the programmes to implement transformational change, as well as the roadmap for future innovation in the digital space
About you
Ideally we are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of designing, owning and evaluating organisational digital transformations and delivering large scale change
- Proven experience of strategic and technical leadership in large, complex organisations and Senior / Director level
- Knowledge of the contemporary digital landscape of an organisation, and bringing in new and leading technologies
- Experience robustly managing large budgets
- Ideally; a track record of delivering technologies within a hospitality or retail organisation
