Description
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Director plays a pivotal role in success of the organisation.
The Finance Director will be responsible for;
- Actively participate and support the Board, the Board Finance Group and Senior Management Team.
- Develop, review, and monitor the budgets for each business department providing ongoing analysis and commentary thereon.
- Production of monthly management accounts and reports.
- Manage company-wide budgetary planning and control.
- Ensure that all the company's financial practices are in line in Accounting Standards, statutory regulations and legislation.
- Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist the Board/SMT in creating strategic plans for the future.
- Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed.
- Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and other financial transactions and consider investment of surplus funds.
- Supervise the finance team in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
- Prepare statutory accounts
- Attendance at Board Meetings
- Manage the external provider of IT services.
Profile
The successful Director of Finance should be:
- Qualified Accountant through (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- Strong experience in a financial leadership role
- Adaptable to being both Hands on and Strategic
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent strategic planning abilities
- Outstanding communication skills
Job Offer
- Part time opportunity - 3 days a week (22.5 hours)
- Salary £75,000 pro rata to £45,000 per year
- Generous annual leave of 25 days rising to 28 days- additional extra free days on birthday and in the Christmas to New Year close down
