Directorate Support Officer

Trafford Council have an exciting opportunity available for a Directorate Support Officer to join their Transformation Directorate on a full time, temporary basis.

Contract: Initially until 31/03/24, potential for extension and to apply for the position on an 18 month fixed-term basis.

Hours: 37 per week.

Location: 2 Piccadilly Place, Manchester, M1 3BG. Hybrid working 2/3 office days per week.

Who are we?

You will be working with a small but very experienced leadership team in the Transformation Directorate who are supporting in transforming the organisation. This includes recommendations on how we define and deliver change, as well as the change required to deliver our organisational objectives.

This role will allow you to be at the heart of crucial changes happening within the organisation to ensure the effective delivery of key transformational programmes and with the Bus Franchising currently coming into shape in Greater Manchester it's an exciting time to join a dynamic and fast paced team.

In this role you will:

• Support the efficient functioning of the Transformation Directorate by providing administrative and operational assistance.
• Work closely with the senior and extended leadership team, assisting in various tasks such as diary management and event organisation to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day activities.
• Work in a challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Transformation Officer, growing and building upon your existing knowledge and skills.
