Your new role
Document control
- Inputting document data into registers, ensuring information, ensuring accuracy
- Distributing approved documents and drawings to appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable
- Maintaining files and control logs on various projects
- Assist with the organisation and management of documents and drawings
- Assist with quality checking and auditing of document databases
- Undertaking general Document Control administration including document release and publishing, and handling queries
Administration
- Providing administrative support to technical staff and business support functions (accounts, IT, HR etc)
- Assisting with the preparation of technical reports and accompanying correspondence by typing, formatting, collating and binding documents
- Assisting with the preparation of technical submissions and tenders
- Mail distribution
- Assisting with coordinating and booking internal and external events, courses etc.
- Assisting with duties in relation to the company’s Integrated Management System including internal auditing (training provided)
- Occasional reception and front-of-house cover
- Other administrative duties including franking mail, booking travel arrangements, diary management and archiving.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- 4 GCSEs to include English at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of Document Control procedures preferable but not essential
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Use of initiative in problem-solving
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage projects using imagination, drive and enthusiasm
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Client focussed
- Good organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
