About the role

We are recruiting for a Duty Officer on a full time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy team and support our customers through our 24 hours in-resort helpline.

The purpose of this role is to provide first class handling of in-resort problems, resolving customer queries efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction whilst taking commercial implications into account.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Taking full end to end ownership of assigned in-resort problems to ensure customers receive the best possible service whilst on holiday
  • Making amendments to flights, hotels and other ground products according to customer requests and in disruption situations
  • Tailor making solutions to assist customers and suppliers whilst balancing commercial implications.

This is a busy, hands on role. Our essential criteria for this role are:

  • Experience of working under pressure and multitasking
  • Proven experience in Customer Service within the travel industry
  • Desire to take responsibility for finding tailor made solutions for our customers
  • Committed to working a 11.25 daily shift (4 on 4 off) to include nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

To help you decide whether you would like to apply for this role, as a guide, a typical salary in this role is around £26,000 per annum plus £6,000 shift allowance (this may vary depending on your relevant skills and experience), plus benefits.

Our offices are based just outside Gatwick Airport and we offer hybrid working (within the UK). Generally, this role works from our offices twice a week, with additional days as needed depending on meetings etc. Office days are co-ordinated so that colleagues in the same team are in the office together to collaborate in person. We usually support new colleagues in the office full time for the first few months with us.
