As an integral part of our dedicated team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that every child receives the tailored support they need to succeed. You'll be the bridge between schools, healthcare professionals, parents, and local authorities, coordinating and implementing Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with schools, parents, and healthcare providers to assess and identify the specific needs of each child.
- Develop and implement individualized EHCPs that meet the unique requirements of each student, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional success.
- Act as a knowledgeable advocate for children with SEND, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld throughout the EHCP process.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and regularly review EHCPs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members and stakeholders involved in the EHCP process, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally within an educational or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes, SEND legislation, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
