Electrical Technician
Responsibilities
- Swiftly resolve breakdowns, minimizing production downtime by identifying and addressing root issues.
- Maintain electrical and mechanical systems via planned preventative measures to uphold production efficiency.
- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance, manage software programming, and oversee mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment breakdowns.
- Install, enhance, and repair equipment, plant infrastructure, and building installations for continuous improvement.
- Take a proactive stance in identifying potential hazards, promptly reporting root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
- Supervise external contractors for factory-related service work, such as fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
Essential:
- Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in electrical maintenance.
- Extensive post-training experience in an electrical maintenance role.
- Qualification to HND level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in automation, robotics, and PLCs.
- Experience maintaining injection and compression moulding machines.
- Background in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge or certification in 5S and other production improvement methodologies.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
