Computer/ Electronics Design Engineer - Hampshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Electronics Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking company based in Hampshire. You will manage the design of your own projects, sharing advise and guidance with the team, where everyone has an influence and new ideas are positively encouraged.
If you're passionate about engineering with a desire to learn then we would love to hear from you! Experience of digital design in computer based applications is essential, however we welcome engineers at all levels to apply as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Please note that this is an office based position with limited transport links, therefore candidates should have their own transport.
The Role:
You will be designing industrial specifications for SBC type solutions. In summary:
- Liaising with customers to understand their requirements
- Using your experience to produce a detailed requirement specification for sign-off
- Completing the design and producing the schematics
- PCB layout using Altium software specifying the detailed requirements
- Liaising with manufacturers and overseeing the PCB manufacture
- Creation and implementation of test routines and procedures
- Final debug and compliance testing
- Assisting customers with technical issues, taking ownership of issues and clearly communicating the course of action
Experience Required:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a record of successful projects in one or more of the following areas:
- PC-X86
- Arm
- Window Embedded
- Linux
Experience of EMC requirements and design constraints will be expected.
Experience porting Microsoft Windows Embedded and Linux would be useful as would experience of FPGA usage and programming.

Additional Information:
- Advertised salary scale is depending on experience and is negotiable
- Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
