Overview:
As a part of our client's People Team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that they have the right people in the right roles with the right skills to deliver on their vision. They provide leadership, expert advice, and support throughout the employment lifecycle to enable their colleagues to excel in their roles. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment where agility, flexibility, and the ability to work well under pressure are critical to success.
They are on the lookout for a talented and experienced ER Manager (Internal job title People Experience Manager) to join their dynamic People Team. As the ER Manager, you will partner with the Leadership team, providing expert advice and guidance on people-related issues. Your role will involve managing Employee Relations casework, supporting and leading people projects, and empowering line managers to take ownership of their people, performance, development, and wellbeing.
Key Accountabilities:
Employee Relations:
- Provide employment law advice, interventions, and solutions, with a focus on fairness and consistency.
- Coach and advise managers on role and team structure changes, investigation and disciplinary processes, grievances and mediation, performance management, sickness absence and return to work guidance, TUPE transfers, settlement agreements, and health & safety.
- Support colleagues and line managers through family-friendly policies such as maternity leave, shared parental leave, and flexible working requests.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop plans and agree on reasonable adjustments to support the individual needs of employees.
Policy Management:
- Take the lead in managing all HR policy reviews and maintaining an up-to-date Policy Tracker.
- Review and update policies to reflect legislative changes and ensure clarity and ease of understanding.
- Develop new policies when required, fostering a positive organisational culture rooted in consistency and transparency.
