We are currently recruiting for a Employee Relations Manager on a fixed term contract until the end of October 2024 initially. The office is based near Tower Hill. You will work 2 / 3 day in the office with the rest of the week working from home.
My client is higher education provider who is looking for an Employee Relations specialist who will play an important role in a small busy team.
Role
You will specialise in managing the relationship between employees and the organization. Responsible for managing organisational change and restructuring programmes, employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with policies and employment law.
Duties
- Ensuring treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
- Managing relations between the organisations and its recognised trade unions
- Undertaking a lead role in consulting and implementing organisational change.
- Managing Employee Relations disciplinary cases, working with the relevant managers, staff and trades union representatives and to liaise with legal advisors on casework issues as appropriate.
- Working with the HR Advisor on the management of sickness absence, performance management, exit interview information etc.
- Partnering with senior business stakeholders to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs.
- Handling employee complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating mediation with other stakeholders.
- Preparation of cases for Employment Tribunals if required.
- Investigating and resolving complex or critical Employee Relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
- Advise on and positively encourage the application of best practice in employment matters with regard to equality and diversity objectives.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of UK and EU employment legislation and case law.
