Are you an experienced EL or ER Professional who’s passionate about Employment Law and understands the importance of high-quality, user friendly, and legally compliant contractual documentation?
Are you a conscientious and responsible individual, who is enthusiastic and organised with a commercial and pragmatic approach?
You may be a qualified legal professional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) with minimum of 2 years experience as a trainee / paralegal. or relevant equivalent HR / ER Qualification or EL / ER experience of more than 2 years, which has been delivered in other legal or HR settings. Having acquired multiple businesses in the past year, the WorkNest team is growing fast, so we’re looking for a passionate Employment Law Solicitor / Advisor to join our friendly specialist Contracts and Handbooks Team to support in the drafting of legally compliant contracts, policies and procedures. As we are not a private practice there is no billing, networking or need to bring a client base with you!

This allows our colleagues in the wider legal team to provide high quality, pragmatic, and efficient advice to WorkNest’s clients.
What you’ll be doing
The Employment Law Advisor will be providing brilliant service to our clients as you review client’s current documentation then produce legally compliant and high-quality contracts, handbooks policies and procedures that are in-line with their specific requirements, but also reflect current Employment Law legislation.
You’ll play the important role of ensuring that our clients are able to meet their commercial objectives, as well as complying with the law. Proactively manage a dedicated portfolio of contract and handbook reviews by maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders.
Where you’ll be working
This role can be home -based or hybrid (minimum of two days per week in either our Chester, Glasgow offices, with the rest of the week remote). That way, you’ll be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, while also having some quieter time to focus on your workload without distraction.
