This is the key event support role in a busy and experienced Events team – you’d be working at this well known and VERY highly regarded London-centric organisation – it is a great opportunity as quite a few of their Event Managers have started in this position and worked their way up! You’ll ideally have minimum 1 year events experience already under your belt!

Events Team:
The Events team deliver a varied events programme that supports their objectives – building knowledge, networks and community – and includes influencing events, private lunches/dinners, networking, corporate hospitality, webinars, briefings, trade shows and training delivered through a wide variety of digital and physical platforms. The event programme is really varied and alongside their business focussed information and networking events, they have some annual special events eg Summer party and Winter reception which are held at very special London venues.
Role
The Event Co-ordinator is the backbone of the team! And supports the team providing administrative and operational support to enable the first class delivery of the events programme. Activities are varied and include tasks across all aspects of events both pre-event and on-site, and include:
- Undertake administration of events – set up events on CRM system and website etc
- Delegate contact and liaison – resolving queries etc
- Issue joining instructions, links to event, table plans and final event information
- Chase up outstanding invitations to Speakers, guests and other parties
- Liaise with sponsors on their event collateral and activity requriements
- Create events on CRM, ensure all event details are kept up to date
- Set up events on digital platforms
- Co-ordinate promotional mailings, proof read materials etc
- Attend events, registration, liaise with suppliers on the day
You:
The team are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of events, either gained through a placement or first job, and with good admin, IT and communication skills - ready to grow their career, but with some experience of working in in an office, and ideally some event experience. Essential qualities/skills are:
- Good communication skills, written and verbal – excellent interpersonal skills
- A naturally well organised person, bags of commons sense, practical and able to multi-task
- Placement year or previous work experience ideally in an events environment, involving varied admin tasks and systems (ideally 1 year+)
- Attention to detail, can prioritise tasks
- Hard working, and keen to learn and develop, team player
- Customer orientation and focus, good interpersonal skills
- Confident with digital processes, database skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
- Would enjoy working to support the team deliver great events!
