As Lead Product Developer, you will be the source for team knowledge and the go to for questions not only on our team but cross functionally when it comes to all things PD for footwear. As a person, you have a trainer approach and enjoy hands on problem solving. Meetings with design where you bring valuable questions and challenge where you see opportunities and misses.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this proactive and cross-functional role, you are responsible for the shoe journey from initial design concept to confirmation sample. Combining technical and organisational skills in delivering luxury fashion lifestyle footwear in aesthetic, fitting, technical and with financial requirement to the brief concept requirements.

As lead developer, you are responsible to be solution focused, always bringing options to table during development stage to ensure a strong product is delivered and to foresee and overcome production issues during early concept/development stage - by working closely with out sourcing & production teams in London, Portugal & Asia.

Mentoring more junior members by sharing knowledge, training and helping to offer solutions for the team when they may need support. Whilst being able to navigate through change and lead.

The ability to collaborate with design team, providing guidance from a technical perspective for lifestyle product range is key to the role whilst bringing ideas to improve our product and be a part of taking our range to the next level. Comfortable representing the FTW PD team in wider meetings & reviews.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

This is a role for someone with experience. It is a hands on roll that’s a mix of high and ‘low’- you will want to do and learn a lot.

We also see you as being experienced and confident in:

• Multi year experience in footwear development
• On-site factory experience with Asian suppliers
• Experience with working with European supplier base, Portugal preferred
• Business travel to Far East and Europe, both in teams and independently
• Can demonstrate high technical knowledge in new outsole and last developments Portfolio of New Styles they have developed
• Use of a PLM system
• High organizational skills
• Strong excel skills

Our company language is English and as this role is in contact with external partners, English fluency is a requirement. Travel is also expected and required when needed.
