We're looking for friendly, confident, outgoing individual to join our busy vintage themed event company. You'll be responsible for welcoming our event guests to our venue, looking after them during the booking (hen parties, birthday parties, afternoon tea events, children's parties and individual appointments in salon or diner) and carrying out event activities (full training provided) such as:
- Cocktail making class
- Serving afternoon tea
- Milkshake/ice cream workshops
- Crafting
- Optional: Hair / makeup / photography / face painting / glitter bar / dance classes (this is not a requirement but available to those applying with these skills, and we offer training for all staff to learn additional skills if they choose to!)
You'll be responsible for opening and setting up the venue, overseeing team of event suppliers and ensuring the venue is closed down and cleaned and ready for the next days' events. You'll have responsibility for health and safety and food handling and hygiene. You'll set up the venue, including purchasing supplies as required, clean, tidy, re-arrange furniture, plate food, prep and clean ice cream machine, wash up and more.
This position is for approximately 6-12 hours per week (more may be available) and you must be available 3pm to 8pm two evenings a week (Tuesdays to Friday) and all day Saturdays, with occasional Sundays. Occasionally we'll also need you earlier on weekdays. You may not work all of those hours but these are our event slots so we're looking for an Event Coordinator to cover all events in the venue when needed, so you can be called upon for any of those hours each week. You'll know your shifts at least a week in advance, often up to a month in advance. You'll be supported by a wider team of Party Hosts too.
You'll be excellent in customer service and communication skills, a good problem solver, high energy, and have a positive and can-do attitude. We welcome applications from those without relevant experience providing you're willing to attend training and have a keen desire to learn the job.
