Events Programme Executive

Financial or Membership Events experience is desirable.
An excellent opportunity for a Programme Executive to join a thriving and highly respected Membership Body. Hybrid or Remote based with events in London.
You will have the chance to be an integral part of this by helping to drive the growth of our flagship conferences. Our events are known throughout the industry to be of the highest standard, with an integrity of content and high level of engagement.
You will work on a wide range of events, including conferences, forums, breakfast briefings and our range of digital products. Most of the events are UK based, but we also run large flagship conferences internationally. Our events have a reputation for excellence, and we deliver top quality products to our members and customers, whilst meeting (or better still exceeding) financial targets and performance measures.
The right person will have at least 2 years of conference production experience, great communication skills, high attention to detail and an eye for the innovative. You will be tenacious about making things happen, adept at working under pressure and to tight deadlines, and a perfectionist when it comes to the product you create.
Duties and responsibilities:
Conference production
- Support the Senior Programme Manager in working on a suite of flagship conferences
- Produce a production plan and event brief for each event
- Use appropriate resources to research and develop programmes for a wide range of events
- Research, approach, and secure speakers to fill the programme in line with deadlines/targets set at kick off meeting
- Liaise with the logistics team on appropriate venues, date selection and all logistical requirements
- Regularly review speaker and sponsor briefing communications, ensuring they are as effective as possible and on-brand
- Collaborate with other teams to lend production expertise to their event activities
- Assist webinar production by setting up (and maintaining where needed) webinar platform
Sponsor relationship management
- Support the sponsorship team, in creating suitable content areas for sponsors within the programme development
- Liaise with the sponsor to develop programme content, ensuring there is a joined-up approach to marketing
- Produce a sponsor brief and confirm sponsor deadlines for each event
- Ensure deadlines are met and lines of communication are open
- Work with the sponsorship team to ensure the contractual needs of the sponsor are fully met
Speaker management
- Assist the conference chair in facilitating the speaker briefing meetings, taking notes for circulation
- Check speaker slides and proof delegate pack material
- Speaker liaison in the lead-up to and on the day of the event - produce chair/speaker briefing notes and ensure all speakers are comfortable with their role on the programme
Other
- Attend all in person conferences - either to manage where this is your event, or support on others
- Attend, contribute to and facilitate if required meetings with events and publishing stakeholders
- Support the marketing team in reviewing content for event emails, and ensuring the information is up to date
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the wider ACT, including the Chief Executive, Policy & Technical Team and working groups.
- Develop a strong understanding of treasury issues and the key players in the industry
- Monitor industry developments, to support the team in looking for further opportunities to develop new and innovative products and refresh existing product to maintain our position as market leaders
- Contribute to the discussion around the ACT events strategy for live and digital events and regularly review content on the events pages of the ACT website, ensuring high standards are maintained
- To undertake other tasks as may be reasonably requested.
